This and I suggest that we just draft starters, i.e. 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST, and 1 K. 6 pts all TD's, standard scoring. I can go for this!
The purpose of this thread is to do a mock draft first and foremost. So I want to be committed to giving the best effort towards a good mock all the way through.
Bench players are still useful in what is being proposed.

If you really want set and forget, just draft starters and lock. Everyone has the same number of bye weeks; if someone gets injured, oh well, your loss.

You dont lock lineup changes if you draft a bench.
And yes, total points. Whoever doesn't want to play will just not load a team through yahoo

yeah, so allowing a bench player to step in for injuries only shows drafting ability and completely removes managing...

It's not that difficult make it a points league. Just allow 1 qb/k/d for each roster and take the entire rosters points for the year. Then you literally do nothing. Thats the only way to measure a draft. Otherwise just stop drafting halfway through.

But your 8th-15th picks are important (bedsides K and D). If someone drafts the next Morris, they don't get that recognition of having a good draft.

I look into SOS when I draft so I vote we set line ups each week and take total points from there...

Does your bench score points in your real leagues?

Yes bench included you can set them as flexes or something and then just set the rosters and lock them.

Yeah, but if you use bench points too, injuries will still kill the team if you can't add/drop.
Posted on 7/24/13 at 2:07 pm to AmosMosesAndTwins
Why don't we just do a real league? It takes no time to set a line up. Everyone will be logged into Yahoo/doing their weekly research anyway.

Here it is.
-Set line up
-Not allowed to touch unless someone is injured
-you may replace said injured player and then you aren't allowed to touch it again unless another player is injured or original injured player makes return.
-players must start on bye weeks as well...

You can't use benches. Then You could just draft a bunch of QBs.
Just draft and once your starters are filled leave it at that
Or allow roster changes.
It's not complicated

DPT
Patient M. I. A.
Give me Lamar Miller
I need another rb and a couple of the guys I liked were taken. I trust that he will be the starter and have a big year more than David Wilson.

say I draft Matt Flynn and Sam Bradford
Lagarette Blount, Shon Green, Tolbert
Braylon, Moss, LLoyd
so at end of the year
Matt Flynn 450 pts
Bradford 440 pts
Lagarette 300
shon 300
tolbert 250
Moss 300
Braylon 300
lloyd 200
my points are
QB 1 -flynn 450
RB1-300
rb2-300
WR1-300
WR2-300
flex-250
etc,etc,etc....just take highest scorer of the year for each position and add it up in a qb/rb/rb/wr/wr/te/flex/k/d=total points?
