Year 1 of 5 year league and I’ve only done redrafts in the past. Any strategies to suggest? 22 round veteran draft and 3 round rookie draft.

I usually load up on rb’s and wr’s early but the thought of getting Mahomes for 5 seasons is intriguing.

1 QB
2 RBs
3 WR’s
1 Flex (rb/we/te)
1 TE
1 Defense

6 point pass td and 1/2 ppr. Everything else fairly standard

You don’t want to be the one who gets Mahomes 1st

You can get Matt Ryan, Who is the highest scoring QB over the last 4 years, many rounds later

If you can’t get a top 4 RB (Zeke, Barkley, Kamara, CMC), go Hopkins/Adams. Hell, I would be happy to go with Hopkins/Adams over all of them but Barkley due to the quick turnover at RB

The league ends after 5 years? Never heard of a league like that. My strategy would be to build a win-now team, since there's a cap on building for the future. Since it's not a superflex, I'd definitely wait until late to draft a QB.

I think the 5 year cap is weird too, but I don't think it changes much. The NFL is too unpredictable to try to project more than 3-4 years out anyway, and most dynasty leagues probably can't be counted on for the long haul. Even if you're taking more of a long term outlook you should always be trying to win in 2-3 years at the latest.

I agree, 2-3 years is a good target in most dynasty leagues. However in a 5 year league, that seems like a risky strat since you're punting at least 1-2 years. I'd aim for a winner in years 1-3 in the startup.

Also, the rookie drafts decline in value over time with the league format. I'd look to trade future draft picks for veterans that can contribute.

Stick with fantasy pros on rankings? Or is there another site that is better?

Got the 6th pick and am assuming I’ll be picking between OBJ, Davante Adams, Michael Thomas and the second tied RB’s

Who would you take with zeke, cmc, Kamara, saquon and Hopkins off the board?

Drafting 9th in the the 3 round rookie draft, I’m guessing Paris Campbell and Darrell Henderson will be who I’m looking at there.

After just running my own PPR Dynasty league for the past six years, I can tell you this...

Wide Receivers are more valuable than every other position.

They play longer, get injured less, and can put up consistent numbers because players like DeAndre Hopkins are going to get the football thrown to them many times.

Now, that is not to say you should only draft WR's. But players like Corey Davis, Mike Evans, Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Michael Thomas, and DeAndre Hopkins are all very young and will provide your team with a solid and consistent point total for several seasons while you build around them.

Running Backs can be replaced in the draft unless you get a chance at a stud like Saquon Barkley.

Ended up with pick 1.7 out of a 14 team league. Traded back a few times and we wrapped up 11 rounds already

Team so far

QB
Wentz

RB
Henry
Lindsey
Penny
James White
Duke Johnson

WR
Allen
Digs
Golladay
Landry
David Moore

TE
Ebron

Have 10 picks in last 11 rounds.

Weak at RB but feel I got decent depth.

We have a 3 round rookie draft as well and have picks 1.8, 1.9 and 3.8
