10 team ppr snake draft

Just got my draft position and I’m number one. Not sure I really like that spot in a snake draft. Kind of like Anything from 5-6 in back. Snake draft

How do draft pick trades work? What should I ask for? No one in our league ever trades draft picks

If you do trade back, your price should be to swap third round picks with them. That first pick in the third round is usually a steal (which is why I prob wouldn’t trade in the first place).

Thanks.

So how would that work? Could you lay out the picks for the four rounds Say I trade back to 6?

He gets pick 1 and 24 in the first 2 rounds. You get 6 and 19. In the third round, you’d get pick 25 and he’d get pick 30. Then it goes back to normal for the rest of the rounds. You’d have pick 43 in round 4 and he’d have pick 48 and 49 (rounds 4 &5) and so on and so forth.

Seems like a lot of people are talking up the 10-12 spots this year. Depends on how you like to draft, IMO. You're in a great spot, IMO. The first 3 picks are the only picks you can really load up on RB to start and not feel like you're reaching on anyone. There's advantages and disadvantages on both ends of the draft order. The key, as always, is playing the draft how it falls to you, not reaching on guys, and avoiding the land mines at all costs.

Take Gurley, Bell, or Zeke and run with it.

I think the best spot any given year is to have the latest possible pick that's still guaranteed to get one of the consensus elite of the elite. That way you get arguably the same potential as the guy picking #1, but your 2nd rounder comes much earlier when the talent pool starts depleting quickly.

This year, IMO, 5 is a pretty good spot. You're guaranteed to get 1 of Bell, Gurley, Zeke, DJ or Antonio (Antonio being included is assuming a .5 or 1 pt PPR).

This all depends on your league format. PPR, flex spots, keepers, etc. all have an effect. For instance, in my league we have keepers, so most years a lot of the top talent ends up being kept, so the talent pool shrinks FAST. In that scenario I want a much earlier pick because out of those top 5 guys I listed, 2-3 might be keepers. So as early as the 3rd pick someone is having to take a Saquon, Kamara, Fournette, Odell etc who start having a lot more question marks.
