A friend was telling me about his dynasty league where they draft college players at the end of their regular draft.

His league involves bidding a draft pick next year for an option on a specific college player. You get the player in that round next year if you want him. If not, you still get a pick, but a round or two later(can't remember which).

I was intrigued, so I searched and found this article on devy or developmental leagues: LINK

Anyone here ever participated in a league like either of these? Do you like it?

I’m in a DEVY league.

College players (True Freshman, RS Freshman, True Sophomores) can be drafted and they are included in our yearly rookie draft.

Each team in our league possesses 2 total DEVY rights. Only one DEVY right can be used a year (essentially 12 college players max can be drafted in a 12 team league).

DEVY rights can be sold, but still fall under the umbrella of their original owners “1 DEVY a year” rule.

I drafted Bijan and Gibbs exactly 2 years ago. It’s pretty awesome to go on that ride to see them get drafted in the first round.

Other DEVY players that I have are
- Xavier Worthy, Texas WR
- Nick Singleton, Penn State RB
- Luther Burden, Missouri WR
- Evan Stewart, Texas A&M WR

I did bust hard on DJ U, Clemson QB. I dropped him prior to this years rookie/Devy draft
