Rick pops me up last night, tells me he has interest in someone on my team, then doesn't say anything else. I even tried talking sci-fi with him, but he wouldn't respond.

Rendon has been extremely impressive so far in the early part of spring training, the Washington Post reports. His fielding at shortstop and second base has been very good, but the Nationals are still expected to have him play third base in the minors. "Watch his hands," said Bill Singer, the team’s director of pro scouting, while watching Rendon field grounders at shortstop. "He makes it look like he never gets a bad hop, because his hands are so soft and quick." Rendon's
work at the plate is garnering just as many raves, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him rocket through the Nats' system very quickly.
