The advantage you get from having the first pick in every round is minimal at best. It's still the same average draft position overall. You just dont get back to back picks every other round.

its not the same average.
the guy with the last pick of the 1st round is 16 picks worse when adding all cumulative picks.

I thought the same thing and maybe it is. I did the math really fast when I looked at it back when the issue was discussed. Rondo came to the same conclusion so I just assumed it was correct.

Standard draft every round 1 has a 15 pick adv. over 16.
Snake draft every other round 1 has a 15 pick adv. over 16
So the difference n that is the advantage I would have w/ a standard draft.
Of course none of this matters if I trade all my picks away for the likes of Garret Jones and Bret fricking Wallace
