It's all good man. I think everyone is happy with their keepers for the most part, or at least content with going into the draft as is. I'll just hang in to my 3 1st basemen and either play them as my utility guys or make a deal after the draft.

You want a sure thing closer?
I will trade you Chris Perez for a 14th
I will trade you Chris Perez for a 14th
quote:
Perez went 14 for 15 in save chances after July and posted a 0.76 ERA over that span with 27 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings pitched. Perez finished the year with a 1.71 ERA overall and 23 saves
quote:
With no immediate threats for ninth-inning duties, Perez should be a solid candidate for 25-plus saves this year with a handful of strikeouts. Consider him a high-end No. 2 Fantasy RP in the majority of Fantasy drafts.

I think Nathan will get twice as many save opps as Perez, assuming Gardenhire gives him his job back.

Also assuming he remains healthy and assuming he doesn't get lit up with his 90 mph heat
pitchers on shitty teams can rack up saves. they always play close games if they are winning. i would list the closers from shitty teams who saved 35+ but i know you are aware of them

I don't think his health is an issue anymore, and that 90 will be 94 by opening day. His velocity has always been arse at the beginning of ST.

I don't think that's a good idea. This shite happens every year. The reason its on the day that it is is because every other day was bad for someone.

Social lives can be molded to your needs.
Wives, and especially kids, can not.

I still have no clue if I'll be free on the 28th... I'll see what I can do about it.

For the record, I was available almost every day when we discussed possible dates. Once it was locked in, I scheduled all my other drafts and obligations around it.

News: Twins RP Joe Nathan made his fourth appearance of the spring on Thursday against the Blue Jays and was sharp again. He struck out one and walked one in his scoreless inning of work. He has yet to give up a run this spring. "I felt great, but as far as pitches go, it wasn't one of my better ones," Nathan said. "Now I'm trying to get my slider a little better and get that to where it needs to be. So I think today I was maybe trying a little too hard. Everything's been pretty good. I feel like I can get back out there and throw again."
Analysis: Nathan, who missed all of 2010 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, has good looked so far this spring and has not had any problems with his surgically-repaired elbow. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor his progress throughout camp to make sure he is 100 percent healthy. The right-hander averaged 41 saves and posted an ERA under 2.00 from 2004-09 and looks to be ready to resume his role as a dominant closer in Minnesota. Target Nathan in the middle-to-late rounds on Draft Day, with the potential to be a steal.

How can you not know that you will or won't be free 3 weeks from now at 8pm? How can you not plan that?

I'm guessing that he hasn't seen the softball schedule yet.
