Coach Sid Edwards made it to the runoff with Broome.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - In the race for EBR Mayor-President, incumbent Sharon Weston Broome and Sid Edwards are headed for a runoff.
Broome received 31 percent of the vote, while Edwards was able to get 34 percent of the vote.
Ted James came in third place with 28 percent of the vote in the race.
In total, there were eight candidates going up against each other.
The Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office estimates that 188,646 votes were cast in the mayoral election.
The runoff election is set for December 7.

Well, Broome got the only scenario where she can be re-elected. It will be all on the GOP to marshal a ground game. Turnout for the runoff will be low, so enthusiasm can trump demographics.

SG has scheduled their first tax election. A heavy turnout here could give Sid a boost.
