It's just so wrong to get on national television and spew all that hateful talk

They were saying because he has no government or military experience. The latter isn't really as common among candidates now and the former is the reason he was nominated in the first place.
My issue with him is that he i thin skinned and sometimes comes off as a bully, but he was still a better choice than the others.
I was going to vote Johnson until I realized how dumb he was. After really looking into Trump I figured he would be the best for change.
