He looks like somebody, athlete or celebrity, but I can't put my finger on it.

Marcel was lurking on the TD Fark Board when Ruben Randle’s smug was being plastered everywhere.

It’s definitely a candidate for the blank canvasses to come.

Since the LSU website lists him as a safety and both Orgeron and Aranda have said they intend to use him in a role similar to Delpit it’s safe to assume he’s going start out at safety.

When are the final recruit rankings done to know if he does get his 5th star?

Safety Not going to be big enough to play LB. Measured 6’1, 194

He would be really special at safety. he can and probably will add 25 lbs and will move down eventually. I don’t think anyone expects him to be all sec as a 200 lb linebacker but he is long and plays bigger than his weight. His ability to read a play and attack looks elite to me.

Exactly what I was thinking. Brooks, Stevens, Delpit and Stingley all playing back there is some serious athleticism. I don't think even bama has that type of talent in their backfield.

I think we are getting closer at LB also and if we can get that DL developed and stacked with athletes getting after the QB and ball then we'll actually have something going. I hated not having Stevens on the field for those few games that he wasn't. I thought he played really well against Miami. His position is playing close to the line and medium to short not back there covering all kinds of field.

Now Brooks can do that and do it well so we'll have Stevens up close, Brooks who can play all over with Delpit then Stingley erasing one side of the field. IF we can get this DL to be disruptive then we'll have a 2011 type of defense next year. Ika is going to push Shelvin and Livingston to be their best.

I'm not sure if I wouldn't play two big NTs at times with how quick we are there. If we can get them to play around 315 to 320 we could do that a lot. Imagine having two big forces like Fletcher Cox out there. We would be impossible to block. That's what this staff needs to turn those big boys into. They need to work with them and make them work their tails off this offseason.

Get Shelvin down to 325 / Livingston down to 320 / Ika down to 325 or 330 and we would have some horses. Glenn Logan did it in one year so can they. Get Lawrence down to 285 or 290 while adding muscle. Get Fehoko down to 285 adding muscle. Keep working with Glenn Logan like you did last year. Get Farrell down to 285 or 290. Get Thomas up to around 275 or 285. Get Cotton up to around 285-290. Get Jenkins to around 285-290. Or at least as close to these goals as possible. Now I'm not sure of their body types and what not but we need to get our guys to get rid of any excess fat while getting them thick with muscle with a layer of fat over it.

What ever it takes to get them there should be done. LSU will have to work hard to accoplish what we are setting out to do. It won't just come, they will have to change some things and motivate those players. I would do the same thing with the OL except in the film room and work their butts off. We need to be quicker with our pulling and more precise with our pull blocks. We need to finish blocks and communicate better prior to the play. Better overall execution and toughness. If we can do that this offseason we'll have a playoff team in 2019. No doubt in my mind.

He's gonna get that fifth star in the final rankings and if we can get Sopsher on board as well then were looking at having as many as 6 players ranked as a five star talent on at least one of the major recruiting services. Stingley, Emory, Thomas, Brooks, Palmer, Sopsher...Not too shabby I must say...

Brooks is not going to start over Divinity or take his spot. Not a chance.

I saw that headline and read a brief summary but still wasn’t sure why? Some family background or connection?

Quite a few of the players in the game have pacific islands heritage but not all.

LSU players:
Marcel Brooks
Siaki "Apu" Ika
Donte Starks
Trey Palmer
Peter Parrish

Targets:
Ishmael Sopsher
Devonta Lee
George Pickens

Wouldn't mind one bit if the LSU coaches have some of the players recruiting some of the uncommitted DT's. There is also a 5-star OLB out of California that is not committed. 4-star OT from Kahuku, HI.

Me, too. WTF wasn't he back there? We only have one position next year in which we'll be improving by attrition. Stevens should've been starting all year. For those who say he wasn't ready, I say he should've been. If I member correctly, we tried him at WR, RB, S, K, LB, QB and then back to S. Well, you know what I mean. How the hell did our coaches not see his amazing safety potential right off the bat? His ability to rush the passer was reason enough to play him way more earlier in the year.
