I have a non Real ID compliant Louisiana license. Anyone know whether we will get extension and be able to use Louisiana licenses to fly after Jan 22?

Official DHS line is that the extension is "under review"...

So go get a new one, or take your chances after 1/22. Or get a passport, valid for 10 years.

That article says that Louisiana is still under review, one of only a few states not good after Jan 22 2018.

I renewed my license a few weeks ago and they said it’s 10/2020 for Louisiana. I had a flag on my license, needing to bring some insurance paperwork, so I brought everything for the real ID. Original birth certificate, social security card, proof of residence. Figured I would go ahead and get one since the licenses are six year renewals now.

I assume the rule will apply to the state issued license, not necessarily what state you’re flying out of?
