Will FBI Investigations in Amite reach the Governor? Did he buy votes too?

The Edwards machine is under intense scrutiny from the FBI. Sheriff Edwards, bother of the Governor, has deputies already accused of dope deals that have agreed to cooperate with the FEDs. He has employees that have been implicated in bail bond scandals that are cooperating with the FEDs. The FEDs have gone after several elected officials in an investigation of vote buying involving people close to the Edwards and many of them are now cutting deals with the FBI.
People in the know about local politics and the workings of the FBI are speculating that the only reason the FBI has not brought charges yet against the sheriff is because the dirt continues to pile up and they want to get as much as they can at one time. They also say the vote buying scandal could reach to the Governor.

Why would he need to buy votes in Tangi Parish where he was pretty popular and represented them?
JBE won the parish by 54 and 60 % respectively.
It would be a complete waste of time when that effort would be better spent in EBR.

Tons of smoke from U.S. Senate Democrats, to the House and all the way down to governorships and nothing ever happens to them. Also, when they're between a rock and a hard place, they never resign. You have to drag them out. Edwards is safe.
