Boat or wading? That bar at the pass runs a long way to the NW. Another wading option is the far west end, walking in from the Gator Lake Trail off Mobile St near the 12 MM on Ft Morgan Rd. There’s also the access at the Jeff Friend Trail but I’ve never had much luck there

Since you got a kayak, go west on Ft Morgan road and put in at the boat ramp north of Kiva Dunes. Head west and fish the stumps for redfish.

Also, further west on Ft Morgan Rd across from Pontoon Ln is another spot to put in.

If your dead set on fishing Little Lagoon, there is a good drop off just north of the Compass Point condo pool. I’ve caught some good trout and flounder from that spot.

Its been 8-10 years since I've fished it, but the two biggest trout I've ever caught came from Little Lagoon. One 32" and one 29" We always fished it mid summer on our big family vacation.

We'd wade out to the first sand bar behind The Summer House and freeline live pinfish. Be prepared to catch nothing, but there are or were some monster trout in that Lagoon.

Cast net the Pinfish

Carolina rig or free line the pinfish near rocks, depth changes, or other structure whether natural or manmade

There’s still some studs in there. Not saying there’s a bunch of 27+” fish but definitely a few 30” fish in that area.

Micro lite and catch juvenile Mangroves against dock pilings.
