I have a business trip for a few days in June in myrtle beach. I know it many people will say it’s trashy but I have to be there, so I may as well enjoy. I have a couple rounds of golf booked but, Any recommendations good eats in the area mostly casual dining. Definitely will want a cool place to check out a couple of the CWS games. Any must eat places or restaurants with a nice view? Any local craft beer joints? TIA

We go to the area every summer. We don’t stay in Myrtle, but North Myrtle is where our condo is.

Flying Fish Market is good and I really enjoy the shrimp boil. They have a nice bar area as well downstairs. Sea Captains House is probably my favorite. Likely the best shrimp and grits I’ve had. The kids enjoy Nacho Hippo. It’s a Mexican type joint known for its nachos. Has a good bar area with TVs as well. AJ’s is the best pizza joint we’ve found out there.

We always stay away from the Myrtle area as much as possible, outside of dining at a few places. Usually super crowded and North Myrtle is a little more laid back and to our taste.

Good distinction by Hawgeye. Are you staying in North Myrtle Beach or Myrtle Beach, tigerrage08?

We staying in myrtle beach by the dunes golf course. North Myrtle Beach seems fairly close.

Yea, that will be right between the two. If you hit 17 and head north, that will take you to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle. That is where Flying Fish is located. They have a couple other restaurants there as well that I cant speak for. We always try to avoid tourist trap type places.

Also note, if you have kids that will be playing in the ocean....the jelly fish were bad last week. Be aware and may not be a bad idea to have a spray bottle full of vinegar with you.

Edit: I forgot you said in OP you would be alone on this trip....so ignore the kid caution in above post.
