NWTF Baton Rouge - Friday 12th

The Baton Rouge Long Spurs Banquet is this Friday and I want to invite everyone interested in turkeys, hunting and the outdoors to join us.
There was a discussion last year about the banquet system of NWTF, kind of like people who don't vote complaining about who was elected. NWTF knows this and has reduced the number of banquets in the state. Chapters are also putting together golf tournaments, fishing tournaments, archery and clay shoots. But, it takes volunteers at the local level to start the process. After reading the discussion last year, I decided to participate instead of sitting on the sidelines and hope some of you will join me. I will be traveling from Shreveport to be there and hope some of you will be there also. I'd be glad to talk to any of you about programs we would like to grow.
If you don't want to talk about turkeys, the new Chapter president's PhD dissertation was on management of speckled trout, she might know a thing or two about fish.

Logical choice for a president of a turkey hunting club.

Im donating to Turkeys for Tomorrow. Nwtf has aligned their philosophy with the likes of DU and DW in my opinion and dont help the little man who pays to feed their agenda

Sadly, you are correct about NWTF. It’s been disappointing to watch such a once great organization struggle.
TFT was founded and is run by lifelong turkey hunters who appear to have but one goal. Helping the Wild Turkey.
No doubt NWTF can still do a tremendous amount of good, but to me the turkey and turkey hunters have taken a backseat for years.
