St. John recommendations

First time traveling to St. John. Recommendations are appreciated, i.e. beaches, islands, snorkel spots, restaurants, excursions, etc.
Will be there March 13-20.

We will be there the week before you. I started the thread that was linked below and there has been a lot of good information that has really helped us plan our trip. I probably won't be posting a whole lot while I'm down there but, I may post some things that we find interesting that may help you. One thing that my wife and I are debating is whether or not to take a charter out. I found Kekoa Sailing and they seem like they offer a really cool charter. I don't think I'm going to win this one but, just being in St. John is a win to me.

I’m scheduled to go in May. I’ve seen conflicting info online re: passing a COVID test to fly back into US mainland. My wife is scared to death one of us will test positive and be stuck there in quarantine for 2 weeks.
I see that CDC only recommends you get tested before flying home.

I believe you may be thinking of foreign travel. St. John is a US Territory and they don't fall under the CDC's guidelines for travel. We originally were going to Jamaica but, cancelled that trip because of the exact possibility that you are speaking of. You are not required to have a Covid test to fly from St. Thomas back to the US. You are required to have a positive antibody test within 4 months of your travel date or a negative Covid test within 5 days of your travel date. All of this information is on the US Virgin Islands travel portal. See the link below. I'd still recommend travel insurance in case one of you tests positive within the 5 days of your travel date.
