I hope LSU isn’t just looking at available coaches for the DC spot.

If there is a coach that has just taken a position this offseason that we like or a coach currently employed as a DC somewhere else then we need to go try to take them away. I’d rather us make the right hire and deal with a little negative perception about stealing a coach than settle for someone who really isn’t up to the job. Moscona gave a great example today in Ryan Walters. If we couldn’t steal him from Bielema and Illinois then there’s a problem. This applies to someone like Chris Ash too. You’d have to think he would prefer a college DC job to an NFL position coach job. Find the guy you really want and then make him say no to $2 million a year. Very few non head coaches are making anything close to that besides a few power 5 coordinators.
