Haven't played any golf for about 5-6 months. Went to the course by myself (thank God), and discovered that I cant seem to hit the ball at ALL. Shank left. Shank right. I cant even get my miss hits to be consistent. Not saying that i was much good to begin with. But at least I could get the ball up the fairway.

Anyone know a solution for this?

Suck less

After a long time off i suck balls too. Takes 5 buckets to start hitting worth a shite. Use it or lose it sport.

Probably goat humping.

Pretend you have a wall touching your arse at setup. Keep a portion of your arse touching the wall until the ball is gone.

I always tend to play better after a long hiatus bc I just go back to the basics and swing easy. After playing regularly for a while is when my bad habits start to pop up.

I don't score well but my expectations are so low that I have more fun after a long break

Get a pro to give you a lesson.

Sometimes I find myself “swaying” instead of “turning.”
If I sway off the ball on the backswing, it is hard to get back to the ball properly.

I find that hitting a few balls with my feet together can help me.
Then I’ll hit a few balls with the back foot kind of behind me.

He could be experiencing the very rare and impressive left shank, where you miss the ball so bad that it hits on the outside of the hosel instead of the inside
