What you won’t hear about Pelosi’s new lead impeachment manager

Most likely you’ll see some rumblings about Swallwell being named a manager and rightfully so. Sleeping with Chinese spies isn’t the best look for someone who will argue that Trump is a threat to national security. It’s also much more worthy of conservative headlines than my interest in who was asked to lead an impeachment hearing.

If you searched Jamie Raskin, you’ll see MSM currently talking about the courage, civic duty, and grief Raskin will carry on his shoulders after his son tragically took his life 2 weeks ago. I have no agenda with the representative from Maryland other than to point out things that won’t be talked about.

- Raskin was among the first House members to speak against Trump electors during the 2017 count. His objection was out of order as he did not have a Senator object with him, nonetheless he carried on. He argued that Florida’s electors were unlawful because 10 of them held office. (Note: there’s no law that says being an elector is considered holding office)

- Multiple sites such as Politico and Slate linked Raskin’s grounds to object to a group called “Americans Take Action”. The group wrote 1,000 pages on how the election was illegitimate due to Russia! and voter suppression, among other flimsy reasons like the dual office theory in the hopes of getting Congress to overturn the results.

- You may remember one of the group’s leaders, Jason Charter, from his 15 minutes and arrest last summer in D.C.



- Finally, not to give anyone a pass for trying to overturn the 2016 election over baseless Russia accusations that were spawned by that elections loser, Hillary Clinton. Raskin doesn’t want a pass because he’s still carrying that torch.
