I’ve got a Samsung Q8FN and the Series X. What receiver should I go with if I have a budget around the Denon S960h and x2700?

Yamaha receivers kick just about everyone’s arse in the typical consumer class market. Their Aventage series is hard to beat.

Explain please god they kick everyone’s arse. I’ve always found the Yamaha sound fields to be weird and their interface unusual. I’d much rather have a Denon with an amp section that’s understated and sound fields that meet accepted standards.

Super happy with my Integra.

But the question is what speakers do you have?

Klipsch RP line. I’ve got enough to do 5.1.2.

I love my Yamaha 4 stroke. Wouldn’t have anything else hanging off my transom. But I wouldn’t replace my Denon AVR with one.

Is there a $200 difference between the denon s960 and the x2700h?
