If it’s windy or cold, or you are low on propane wrap the pot in aluminum foil from below the flame.
Keeps the pot hotter.

A nd that stupid timer and thermostat can be circumvented by tying the timer still.

99% of the Ob doesn’t need this. Should it be moved to food/drink ?
