BP is $50 with cart and range balls
DP is $33 with cart and range balls

I haven't played either, both are convenient, but I'd like to play 18 on a weekday without having to wait on every hole.

Where should I play?

We played Beau Pre two weekends ago and it was a blast. Really good shape and a fun course.

Can I get a comp from the BR/NOLA area so I'm not disappointed. Is it Santa Maria? Carter? CCL?

Beau Pre is like the Bluffs little brother. Duncan Park is like a better Webb / CP, imo

Beau Pre was in better condition than Bluffs two months ago. By a long way. Obviously Bluffs layout is better.

Beau Pre smokes the Bluffs condition wise, Duncan Park is in better shape than any BREC IMO

Duncan Park just held the Natchez Open and Beau Pre has a big am event coming up as well.

Neither will be packed, if I had to pick, BP all day every day

Beau Pre - you will like it more and want to play again. Duncan Park is nice but not in the same league as Beau Pre. It is a gem of a layout.

I was in a rush, so I played Duncan Park. I felt that based on y'all's recs, I didn't want to rush through Beau Pre.

Played 14 holes before I had to leave. I got lost 4 times and hit the wrong club off the tee 3 times and took the wrong line 2 times. Not the course to play alone the first time lol. But the front was a lot of fun. Back was a little bland. Fairways were in good shape, greens were rough. But definitely worth the $30.

Very fair comment. I believe back nine was original course. I am not sure there.

I think you are correct. It definitely feels like that, for sure.

I can't tell you if the course was architecturally good, I get side tracked by the elevation. It's like getting star struck lol

Correct, 12 was number 1 and 11 was 9

Makes sense. The hike between 11-12 is one of the spots I got lost. Ended up on 18 tee somehow.

Also, finding 10 tee wasn't easy either. Just aimlessly driving around for five minutes. shite, 3 tee wasn't easy to find either. I mean, the signage is poor, at best

DP is a city golf course that was built in a recreation area for the local golfers to have an affordable place to play. The "new nine" was added years ago when golf play was tremendous and allows travelers to see the back of the golf course from the Hwy.61/84 By Pass - right next to the Glenburnie Mansion. It has the original clubhouse and the "old" nine holes plays around ball fields, tennis courts, play grounds, rest areas and an antebellum home, Auburn. Natchez is very lucky to have the course at DP and the staff has always worked hard to make it playable with the limited funds that they are given. It is pretty amazing it is open with the budget wars it has been through, to be honest. It is a fun layout for the juniors, seniors, ladies and beginners looking for an affordable and easier place to play. It is not in the same league with Beau Pre, but definitely works well to give Natchez two golf course options that appeal to the different golfers that play our game - and what they expect from a golf course.

I can see that. I saw more backwards hats than forwards hats. And I'm glad there is somewhere for that.

I enjoy both

BP is a country club
The park is a city course
Both are in good shape

Anybody that plays gold would know the diff based on the above.
