He definitely gave him some of the early rounds by not throwing a punch.

yeah, maybe they did crash heads, but Lomachenko was pressing him much more than he was pressing Lomachenko. And so if you watch it again you'll see Lomachenko leading with his head much more.

What fight did you watch? That was a 115-113 fight the judges especially julie lederman got it wrong. I think Lopez won the fight in the last round.
Loma has no power at 135. Lopez did a great job of being controlled and cutting the ring off. I thought he would have been a little more careless and swing for the fences. I was a great plan and he executed it perfectly.

If there is a rematch I believe Lopez goes for the KO knowing Loma dosen't have the pop to put him on his arse.

Tired of talking about this fight, so, this will my last comment. I don't know what you've been reading, but I said Lopez won the fight by about 2 or 3 rounds at most. But he was getting dominated after the 6th round by Lomachenko who was starting to connect on him at will, but the kid fought back and showed that he has a lot of guts. He held on and won the fight, but he knows that he needs much better conditioning because Lomachenko had him drop dead tired at the end, Lomachenko himself was tired. But if you couldn't see that in the second half of that fight, than I don't know what fight you were watching. Lol

You related? Seems awful odd to start a new thread for this.

I honestly thought Loma would school the kid and outbox him with better footwork, working punches from different angles and with his legendary stamina.

That said, it didn't happen that way. Loma gave the entire first half of the fight pulling a Floyd Mayweather like ring appearance of being on his bicycle avoiding punches, only he didn't punch back with any effectiveness to make those rounds close.

Then when he did get more into the fight, he really didn't have the power to cause Lopez any concern that he could be stopped.

Good fight plan by the younger man and his corner. I've got no complaints with the outcome except that one scorecard, and there almost always seems to be one of those in big fights.
