Checking in with taxidermist?

Do you guys ever check in with your taxidermist? For example if you drop an animal off in December and they tell you 4-6 months will you check on it if it’s longer than that? Just curious what your protocol is.

yes, acceptable. Or go ride by to look around "to get some ideas" for this coming season.

mannnnn this reminds me of a skit on Jeff Foxworthy's Incomplete Deer hunter. Theyd randomly cut to the taxidermist checking his answering machine and it was Jeff becoming increasingly angry.

Absolutely. I jsut called about one last week. Originally promised to have it done in 10months, but from experience I knew he would be at least 12. In March he said should be ready in July, last week he said 4-6 more weeks.

I called about mine last week. They were actually working on it and gave me an ETA. They also texted me a picture of it on the mold. I think they’re used to it.
