This has to be a MLB record

Three games in and there are no undefeated teams, and no winless teams. All records are 2-1, or 1-2.

For the first time since 1954, no @MLB team has started the season 3-0.

2020 is the first MLB season without...
a team starting 3-0 since 1954
a team starting 0-3 since 1961
a 3-0 start or 0-3 start since 1953

Wow. That’s a long arse time.

There were also only 16 teams in 1953

It'll be interesting to see the dynamics with pitchers and hitters with the late start and shortened season.
Lots of hitters who are 'slow starter' types will either be in mid-season form or struggle mightily out of the gate given the off time and abbreviated camp.
Ditto for pitchers and their mechanics. There were a few games this past weekend where the starting pitchers had between 9 and 11 K's and either lost or got a ND.

Goes to show that teams are going to be inconsistent (high variability of outcomes) at least early in the year due to lack of training camp.
Or statistically this had a chance to happen and 2020 is just continuing to be a cruel mistress.
