Not sure which thread I came across a while back that mentioned Red Rising, but thank you. Just finished Dark Age and it is an amazingly captivating series.
Also, the Mistborn series is fantastic.

My favorite recent series, by far.

I enjoyed the 2nd set in that world, Wax and Wayne, even more honestly, some of the best characters Sanderson has written throughout his sprawling cosmere IMO.
Stormlight series are a bit different, very long and huge worldbuilding concept which I have enjoyed as well.

Storm light began to sour on me after book two. I never bothered to finish Oathbringer.

I liked book 2 a lot, oathbringer was a bit out there, but I have faith it was a lot of set-up for a big finish in 4 and 5. The series is certainly very different from, in my opinion, more straightforward and linear mistborn series. Stormlight parallels a lot more with massive worldbuilding series.

I liked the setting and concept a lot more in the original trilogy but Sanderson became such a better writer in the time between the first trilogy and wax and Wayne and it shows.
Wax and Wayne has way better writing but I still have such a soft spot for the original trilogy

Agreed, I thought the original Mistborn trilogy was solid but not amazing, with an amazing magic system and interesting plot but pretty average writing and mostly meh characters.
Wax and Wayne is my favorite series by him and is excellent. Warbreaker is really good too.
I've only read the first Stormlight book, which was solid (waiting for all 5 books to be finished before reading the rest). The reckoners series is very good as well.
As Cotton said, Sanderson has improved tremendously as a writer over the years, particularly in his ability to write interesting and complex characters.
