This outbreak will usher in the Chexit era

The temporary pain will be worth it. Globalism will die on the vine. China will suffer dramatic economic consequences. America will come to nearly full reliance upon itself for essential goods. Hard lessons will be learned. The next great pandemic will not hurt nearly so much. America will be much stronger for having suffered through this.

This will only hurt people that are over leveraged. Businesses and individuals alike will have to sell off assets to make ends meet. People who have saved will be fine.
