Former OSU & NFL players Wells and Herron talk Burrow and OBJ. At 35:13 they talk about Michael Thomas getting Joe's Jersey. At 35:53 they talk about how cold and gangster Joe's smoking the cigar was. Hope you guys enjoy. LINK /

Thanks for the link.
One thing they talked about and something I keep hearing from Ohio State fans is that Joe had an ok season in 2018 and Haskins had a great one, so obviously they made the right choice going with Dwayne.
I do think y’all discount everything involved with transferring to a new school far from home, learning a new offense 2 months before the season started, having to develop chemistry with new teammates and coaches, etc. It’s not as simple as saying Haskins had the better season so clearly he was the right choice. Anybody who watched LSU last year will tell you that Joe got much better the last part of the season and that carried over to 2019.
That being said, thank y’all for going with Dwayne. :)

Haskins' 2018 stats though.
4831 yds, 70% comp. 50 TDs 8 INTs
There was no conspiracy to keep Joe on the bench.

Not me. I remember Rohan Davey stating that Joe would only know 25 plays at the beginning of the year. Carson Palmer was asked about what was the most important thing for a qb and it was repetition. Joe simply didn't have enough time last year to know his receivers well enough to throw the ball before they made their breaks. Also, his receivers became extremely good this year compared to a poor performance last year. (Excellent LSU coaching) I tried to make that point several times here when in 2018 people here were calling Joe only a game manager.
Haskins came into the 2017 Michigan game after Barrett injury with OSU behind and won the game, including an early 17 yard bullet on a very important 3rd down. OSU, unfortunately, had no choice but to take Haskins. However, a lot of us in Ohio, and Joe's teammates, knew he was very good.
If Burrow hadn't broken his hand in Curt Worley's shoulder pad, Joe would have probably started for OSU in 2018. Water under the bridge and worked out great for LSU. OSU's qb play the last 2 years was as good as could be hoped for. LSU's qb play this year was other worldly.

Again, doesn’t mean much. If you put Burrow in that offense he was already familiar with for 3 years and drop Haskins off in Baton Rouge during June 2018, what do their respective seasons look like? We’ll never know.

Haskins was very good in 2018, no doubt. I think Joe would have been very good as well. If I recall, Ohio State’s defense struggled and was the reason for the loss to Purdue that year, so it’s probably the case that Haskins got the most out of that team anyway.

Conspiracy?
Perhaps you are conflating the Justin Fields transfer with Burrow's?
JB outplayed Haskins in the OSU Spring Game. Nonetheless, Haskins retained the starting spot. That was not based on conspiracy, but rather on Haskin's in-game performance vs UofM the previous season. No one claims a conspiracy occurred. Absent an injury though, Haskins was going to maintain an edge on JB simply because he started from a point of advantage.
