Guitar string preference: 80/20s or PBs

I've used both but it seems I prefer PBs on my D-35. I really like that dark muddy sound. Seems like they provide more overtones too. Was thinking about picking up some JP 80/20s on the way home just to switch things up. Some say 80/20s on hogs and PBs on rosewood.

D'addario phosphor bronze the whole way for me on acoustics.
Kudos to Ovation for making them a standard and introducing them to me.

Different guitars like different alloys. It's a cheap experiment to try both and pick your preference.
The more popular around my shop by far is phosphor bronze.

Love this site. One of those sites with a shipping rate for one set to 20 sets. So if you just buy one it’s costly. But all of their prices seem good and they have names you can’t find just anywhere. John Pearse easy to find and normal price. All the way up to Optima and Santa Cruz at their usual higher price points.

Agree
They have a great selection of a lot of different musical items.
Their prices are good and their flat rate for shipping is very reasonable. ($3.95?)
The more you order the better. To me their best feature is their fast shipping and customer service.
There are many but these guys are really good.

I hated these strings. I’ve rarely been so disappointed to hate something too.

It is. I was exaggerating a bit if you just buy one set of strings it is pricey. I mainly use that as an excuse to buy multiple. So I’m really just talking to myself. Lol
