iphone

Sometimes (maybe only like 5 percent of the time) i'll select some text, copy it, and when i hit the quote button it automatically puts it in the message box with the [q][/q] deal. Other times it brings up the lil box and i have to paste it and hit ok.

what gives?

I wish we could go back to highlighting what you want to quote then hitting the quote button and it auto posting into the text box.

It does it occasionally. You’re saying this was once a function and it was removed?

I've noticed that it will work sometimes as well while on mobile. I just copy everything now because it's easier than hoping the quote button quotes the highlighted text automatically.

It's always worked this way on the desktop version of the site which is a great feature

I don’t know if it was removed deliberately or if iOS updates or site updates removed it, but that’s how I used to quote everything.

This is how it works for me on mobile desktop mode.

I have figured out why it does this. It’s the phone, not td.

If you have zoomed in any to make highlight, you have to zoom all the way out and it will auto paste. If not, it pulls up the dialog box.

Sometimes I wanna quote a previous posts, but its multiparagraphs that are spaced in certain areas. Too much of a hassle on mobile if you're replying to a comment on the go. Wish auto quoting was a feature, like on Steam. But I understand this forum host is probably locked to certain features without some sort of coding.

I have found the highlight and quote function (like desktop) has worked really well for the first time in the newest iOS. I still copy and paste out of habit but it seems to work more often than not now, whereas I agree with the 5% in the past.
