I know only a little about dormancy but is there any way to get it back green in the cold months?

Spray paint?

Centipede doesn't go dormant, does it?

Oh.
I thought that’s why it’s turning light brown.
No idea
I would just like it green in the cold months. Would be awesome

I might be wrong. I didn't think it went dormant. But that cold would kill it.

Nope St Aug will retain color later into the winter than Centipede, but it will also go dormant, at least in BR.

Centipede goes dormant.....a wonderful time of year. No mowing, no edging.

I don't know why I thought it didn't.

This is true. Except for, at least for me, that pesky leaf raking. 30 bags yesterday and this afternoon. And they really haven't started falling all that much.

You’re not going to get the centipede green in the winter. Once it’s dormant it won’t green up until it warms up.

You can overseed with ryegrass or something like that and still have a green lawn though. It’s just a pain to mow during the winter.

St Aug takes longer to green up in the spring though.
