Wrist Injury

Playing basketball yesterday, I got my legs tied up and fell pretty hard but caught myself with my arms. Felt it a little bit in my wrist, but I finished the game. I woke up this morning and it is pretty tight. It is on the ulna side a little below the little knot. I don't feel it at all in flexion, in extension Its not bad unless I apply more pressure to the pinky side. However, any torsional movement it is pretty sharp with a little bit of a pop, this is also limited a little bit.
My question is, does anyone have any any experience with something like that. I was thinking to give it a few days, but I just got back in the routine last week so this is kind of a bummer.

Do you think anything is broken?

Don't think anything is broken. I've never had any kind of wrist injury. So idk if there would be some kind of sprain or small fracture I could be looking at.

I did the same thing back in March and my wrist still isn't 100%. I can still lift weights and play basketball, basically there are only a few things (such as tricep extensions) that I've had to stop doing.
Over the past couple of months, I've started doing some wrist exercises that I found on youtube that seem to help. I also do them before lifting to get them warmed up better.
*When I fell on my wrist, I didn't even feel much pain at the time but it was much worse the next day (and since).

When I say tricep extensions, I mean on your back with a barbell. I've started doing the tricep extensions where you have your knee on a bench as an alternative.

I also got one of those wrist wraps for my injured (left) wrist that also helps while lifting.

With my wrist injury not completely healing over 6 months, I wondered recently if I could have a small fracture. I remember when the Louisville basketball player had that gruesome injury a few years back in his shin area, a doctor mentioned that athletes often continue playing through pain which sometimes are hairline fractures. That doc speculated it was the case with the Louisville dude.
Anyone know if that's possible with a wrist? Basically that I can do almost everything but that there is a mild soreness that hasn't gone away completely. When I do those stretches, it helps a lot and feels 95%.
*Also, Caroline Jordan was the Youtube person that had the wrist exercises that I mentioned earlier.

That's what I was kind of worried about. I know wrist pain is something that can linger. Did you take time off after or just keep working out. I skipped my Chest/Tri pump this morning because it was stiff, but I could do push-ups without any pain really.

I never really took any time off. I've continued with my usual heavier lifting days about 1-2/week and the higher rep/low weights (BodyPump) another once/week. Sometimes I think it's close to 100% but then slightly regresses.
Might also be worth mentioning that I got tennis elbow from snow skiing in late January (left elbow), I think due to never skiing and the overuse of poles getting to lifts. My wrist problem is in my left wrist. My tennis elbow has slooooowly gotten better but is still not 100% either. Not sure if that has delayed the wrist healing.

FWIW, your post and reading a few articles later has me convinced that I have a hairline fracture in my wrist. It's been 5 days since I lifted weights of any kind and the mild pain is nearly gone.
My plan is now to avoid any lifting until at least Dec 1st and get an X-ray at that point if any lingering issues. Delaying the X-ray as I'll be on a family vacation Thanksgiving week and do not want to have a cast (rides/roller coaster restrictions).
In the past 25 years, I've only taken two breaks of 7+ days from lifting. Both times involved having a cast so hopefully I can stay disciplined enough to stay away.
Since it's my non-dominant hand, I'm going to continue playing basketball and other sports but obviously make a point to not fall on it (also won't even do push ups). I also realize 3 weeks may not be sufficient to completely heal and willing to listen if any strong opinions for waiting closer to 6 weeks.

I ended up going to the doctor last week. I've got a grade 2 sprain. They put me in a splint for three weeks. It does suck to not be able to do any of the physical activities that I am used to.
