My controller that came with the PS4 a couple of years ago stopped working. It flashes yellow once and then nothing works. I bought a new controller, and now it won't connect. I'm trying to connect using the USB cable, but it just flashes white a few times and goes back to charging. I've looked it up on Google and Youtube but had no luck. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Did you unplug it and plug back in?

You may need to boot your PS4 in safe mode. It will then prompt you to connect a controller via USB and it should be fine after that.

To boot it in safe mode, turn your console off. Then, press and hold the power button until you hear a second beep.

Try resetting the controllers. There's a pinhole on the back of them

Out of curiosity, have you also used your PS4 on your PC? And as another poster alluded to, you should try rebooting the PS4 on safe mode. It's probably an issue with the drivers.

Ever since connecting my PS4 controller to my iPad it won't connect to my PS4 even when I use a cable. I'll try safe mode.
