Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice | Official Trailer
Now in theaters. At the AMC Mall of Louisiana through tomorrow night.
Saw it last night. Extremely well done. Entertaining and heart breaking.

Man, i love her voice so much. I hate that Parkinson's stole that from her.

Saw her in Lafayette in the 70s. She was playing with Michael Nesmith from the Monkees.
She asked people to stop using flash cameras. They did not and she flipped them off. There was a picture of this in the campus paper.
Such a wonderful talent with a set of pipes rarely seen!

He wrote her first hit with the Stone Ponies.

Here she is talking about The Eagles as her backup band
There was a small gasp from the audience when she said that she hired a drummer named Don Henley. I thought that was pretty common knowledge.

Amazing singer, and quite the babe in her day. Saw her twice when I was at LSU in the early 80's, then again at the N.O. World's Fair in that great Amphitheatre.

That song she did with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band "Coconut Grove" was a popular song with me. There is a line in there that says Augusta Georgia is no place to be.
Take it from a guy from there, that is very true.

Too bad it was only here for a few days. Guess I'll have to wait for Netflix or something.
What a voice. If you've never listened to Canciones de mi Padre do yourself a favor and listen to it soon. I think it's her best work.

The FM soundtrack is played constantly in my vehicle. It is the ultimate late 70’s AM radio rock time capsule.

With all the Cash love in the Ken Burns documentary I'm surprised this clip didn't make it. LINK
Seriously, June probably had good reason to be jealous. She was definitely his type.

Would have been like trading a 5yr old Chevy with 100k miles for a new Cadillac.
