That's not even close to true. With real debrid I have streams for countless movies. And if it's in 4k, it's on there. In fact, I use Kodi to stream movies far more often than I actually use the ones I've downloaded on Plex. It's just easier and more convenient, especially when Kodi runs my IPTV as well. Kodi is amazing.

It's not once you figure your way around. That's worth saving 100 bucks a month easily.

It's only complicated because the studios, big media, cable companies, etc. make it that way.

It could be really, really fricking simple. Like a show? Subscribe to it, watch it how you want. Like a whole channel? Subscribe to it, watch it how you want.

It could be like damned near any other product on the face of the fricking earth. Pay for what you want. But no. In order to get what you want, you have to pay for quite literally 1,000 times more shite. What do you watch, a couple hours of TV per day? Meanwhile 100 channels times 24 hours equals 2400 hours of shite per day that you're paying for.

Then they add more shite you can't watch and call it "more value", then bump your rates every year to take that value back. Nevermind the fact that you can't actually watch any more TV per day and that "value" doesn't really have any value to you at all.

So go ahead and pay for your cable box and all that worthless shite. Keep subsidizing all those channels for everyone else. Keep paying your extra fees for DVR because your life isn't on the same schedule as the shows you like. But some of us are tired of getting fricked.

You aren't getting fricked. Sounds like you're angry for some other reason.

There's a shite load of options out there.

I had trouble matching a good Addon with Leia on Firestick. Eventually, Kodi 17 started bugging out as well. Started using Cinema APK with Real Debrid and it worked well for a while, but didn’t work very well with Trakt. Recently discovered 13Clowns Addon and it works great with the latest version of Leia (18.2 I think), Trakt and RD...set it up to only download RD streams and use Torrents when available for a higher quality stream. Because the torrents are filtered through RD, they’re not trackable.

Troypoint does a good job updating the latest and greatest in his newsletter. Sign up for that and download his Rapid App Installer. Easy peasy...

Also, I agree with the Builds being unnecessary. Loads of crap that you will never use taking up valuable memory space and slowing down your system. Find a few good addons you like then replace when necessary.

If you are too cheap to buy Real Debrid for a few bucks a month, don’t bother with Kodi or APK’s.

13 Clowns is great. Gaia used to be the best, but the new version for Kodi 18 sucks IMO.

I'm not anymore, because I stopped paying for stuff I don't want.

Nope, all else is pretty good.

Sure there are. I subscribe to Netflix and Prime Video. Those services are clear about what you get, you can watch on a multitude of devices, and you can watch what you want when you have time with no extra fees. I even sub to SlingTV most of the time because it's priced well for what it is, though they have to play the cable bundle game, too.

With cable, if I can't live my life around the schedule of a show I like, I have to pay an extra monthly fee for a DVR. Then if I want to watch on a second TV, that's another monthly fee. Then another fee to watch on mobile (I guess some have this feature?). And that's all on top of being forced to buy dozens of channels just to get the one I want.

And yeah, you can buy episodes or seasons of individual shows, but they are absurdly priced to make cable seem like a good deal. Like, do I want 12 episodes of one single show that I'll watch one time for 12 hours of entertainment, or do I want 3 months of Netflix with unlimited hours of stuff to watch for the same price?

Cable companies and channels are putting on a clinic on how to frick over their customers.

I swear it’s not. Get a Vader Streams subscription, spend 10 minutes downloading the app and you will not only save over $1000 the first year but you’ll also get every single channel you could think of including PPV in an interface as easy to use as DirecTV,
