Got to play the oaks today and I was thoroughly impressed with the layout. I played terrible but loved the course and the whole community feel over there. What a gem of a course. A place like that near Houston would cost a gajillion dollars to join.

The oak is the better of the two courses in my opinion. BC is a pretty good deal if under 35. It was around 250 a month I believe when I checked a couple years ago.

Oak is the better of the 2. The Mag has some funky drive setups (irons off of par 4).
Oaks has better scenery too as it runs along the Tchefuncte. The Mag is mostly neighborhood scenery.

Beau Chene also has the best greens around lately. They hired a new greens keeper that always hasn’t them rolling! Mags greens are typically a little faster than Oak.

Played Mag today. Greens must have been running an 11 on the stemp. They were perfect.

Just moved into BC recently. Live right along #7 on the Oak. Walk the dogs on 4, 5 (par 3 along the river) and 6, very beautiful layout there. Haven't played it yet, but will be playing Magnolia Friday as part of a complimentary round on them.
And depending on age and membership tier, you can be paying up to $465/month for golf and all amenities.

Much cheaper than that if under 35. Also I live right down the street from you. We fish in #8 pond all the time
