There were two Johnny Joneses on the Longhorns, along with an A.J. Jones.

Fred Akers nicknamed the two Johnnys "Ham" and "Lam" based on their hometowns (Hamlin and Lampasas, Texas).

A.J. was called "Jam." He was from Youngstown, Ohio.

Hook 'em Horns, Lam Jones.

Came here to say I recalled Lam and Jam, completely forgot about Ham until I read this. RIP Lam
