Damn good pop album. They had the cutting edge look, sound, and style. Also, Lester Bangs overdosed listening to it.

When I think 80s, "Dont You Want Me" comes right to mind. Great song.

I got hooked on it again a while back and read up on it. The lead singer hated it and did not want it on the album. The record company forced it on as the last track.

The song was originally for a single male singer. They made it a duet, and the female singer had just been a backup singer other than on that song.

The lead singer also fought hard to NOT release it as the 4th single from the album, thinking it sucked so bad that it would hurt the band's reputation.

Glad he didn't prevail. I know it's not about her, but the song always made me think of Dorothy Stratten.

Love Action is also so underrated, and part of it is based on a conversation Oakey had with Lou Reed.
