First time visiting in June with wife for our anniversary. List of things we plan to see and do:
-Niagra Falls
-Old Toronto/St Lawrence Market/Distillery Historic District
-CN Tower
-Casa Loma
-Various restaraunts and a few breweries
Is their anything else you would add to this list? Also any recommendations on a good upscale restaurant for Anniversary dinner would be great.
TIA.

Too bad the wife is going along. The women are incredible.

Cool but touristy.
It sucks you won't be there for hockey season. For anyone in Toronto for hockey season, I highly recommend going to a sports bar on a night the Maple Leafs are playing. If you aren't a hockey fan, you will be when you leave.
Another tip- alot of places in Toronto hand you the credit card machine to run your own transaction. It is awkward at first. But expect it.
Weed is completely legal and there are weed shops on every street downtown. If that's your thing.
Cell service sucks awfully. I blame it on the socialism. Be prepared to be following a gps map on your phone and suddenly get lost because it didn't update. And you can forget browsing this site.
ETA- They are all OBSESSED with Donald Trump. Every cab driver, uber driver, random bar patrons, once learning i'm American, light up with "Ooooh, what do you think about Donald Trump?" And if you choose to engage them in conversation about it, you will be surprised at what alot of them think of him.

One more tip-
On your return flight, you will go through US Customs in Canada before your board your flight, that's so the Canadian flights can use domestic terminals inside the US, which is also really helpful if you have a connecting flight. So, allow some extra time to do that when you are coming home.

Some great advice! This is our first trip to Canada and we're excited to experience their culture.
The Trump thing is hilarious :)
I'd smoke but military drug tests so I'd like to not be separated for trying it lol.

We are driving and breaking up an Ohio trip to catch Toronto so don't want the extra 6hrs.
It would be amazing to experience Toronto during a Maple Leafs game :(

If the Bluejays are in town maybe take in a game. I am an Orioles fan and have been to multiple stadiums to watch games.
Toronto blew me away with its fan experience. They knock it out of the park compared to any other ballpark I have been to. Right next to CN Tower which is pretty cool.
You will enjoy it and was an easy city to walk.

Agree that it's touristy, but the cobblestone and converted-warehouses into bars, restaurants and shops makes it worth visiting.
Can't speak on behalf of the food, but we hung out on the patio of El Catrin Destileria for a few drinks and that was very nice. Also, SPORT Gallery is an interesting place to check out. A lot of sports memorabilia.
------------
My girlfriend has a lot of family in Toronto, so I've been a couple times for weddings, etc. Haven't seen as much as I've wanted to, but...
Birreria Volo is my favorite beer bar in Toronto. Good tap list and they have a great cellar selection. I like dimly-lit bars, but this one might be a little too dark.
Had a couple good meals in Chinatown at Rosewood (dim sum) and House of Gourmet. Service at House of Gourmet is awful, but the food is good.
Short walk from those two restaurants on Dundas is the Kensington Market parking garage. You get a nice view of downtown Toronto from the top. Take a look at some online pictures.
Speaking of views, check out Polson Pier. You can get great sunset pictures.
Markham is a cool city/suburb just north of Toronto. Pretty easy to get to by train, but there is a huge Chinese and South Asian population, so plenty of great restaurants. Honestly, don't remember some of the names, but happy to get a few recommendations if OP is open to going.
