Cool. Ya I already rented a car so we can do everything.

Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't get antsy.

Should be cool. Going to hopefully get one last use out of my SW companion pass. Been a fruitful two years.

I went ahead and booked a Saturday to Saturday in December at the Hyatt Kauai.

That's not too long right? I'm not a huge beach lounge person but there appears to be enough activities.

Definitely not too long in my opinion. But get a car, so you can explore some different parts of the island.

head north to snorkel "the tunnels"

Unfortunately, all of the NW coast snorkeling spots (which are by far the best on the island) in Kauai are a no go due to the bad flood in spring 2018. Hopefully the road will be open again soon but it's been closed for about a year now.

I tried them but with an Avis discount code found same car for cheaper than Advantage rental price on there.

Plus being Preferred I get a car in 5 minutes instead of an hour.

But I did read they are a good company to work with.

IF you get a chance to eat at Alan Wong’s restaurant don’t pass it up.

Double pro tip: If you rent a Jeep make sure to learn how to put the top back on before you drive to the rainy part of the island.
