1. The story is absurd on its face. It would be hard to believe no matter where it was supposed to have happened — but Chicago? Not just Chicago but one of the most liberal neighborhoods in Chicago. You may as well claim that MAGA terrorists assaulted you at a vegan convention in Portland. If there are roving bands of homicidal Trump-loving bigots prowling the streets, I doubt you’ll find them in Chicago, which most decidedly is not “MAGA country.”
And what were these violent bigots doing out in sub-zero temperatures with a noose and a bottle of bleach (which, by the way, would have frozen within minutes)? And if this is supposed to be a “random” attack, how did they know that Smollett was gay? Or was it targeted? Were they searching the streets and risking hypothermia in order to find and attack a relatively unknown supporting actor from a show they’ve almost certainly never watched?

I have great sympathy for this dude.
I've seen the damage done.
1) He will talk in a very baby talk way

I particulary enjoy the fact there is video surveillance of him entering and exiting the location where this "assault" took place, yet there is zero evidence of any attackers doing the same thing.

#7 Jussie is not a household name/face and I highly doubt a White Supremacist is watching this show enough to be familiar with him.
#8 If it was a chance encounter...I doubt people are walking around with bleach and rope.

At the onset I said the chance this happened as he alleges is not 0%.
But it is statistically 0%, by any rules of probability, math, evidence, just common fricking sense.
Are there racist assholes in Chicago? Certainly.
Could an effeminate black guy like Smollett fall into their clutches? Absolutely.
But even that would be like 1 in a million.
I mean, to decouple this from race, if, say Serinda Swan alleged that she landed in Vancouver, was kidnapped by a dude in a top hat with a curly mustache, tied to the railroad tracks and was rescued by a Canadian Mountie who then disappeared into the night - and no one could find either Mr. Whiplash or Constable Do-Right to corroborate her story? The chance of it happening is not 0%, but on the face of it is so ludicrous as to defy further investigation unless more evidence is produced.

I hope they make an example out of this lying, bigoted POS. This is just like the LeBron hoax, where he claimed somebody spray-painted the N-Word on his gate. Funny how a neighbor just happened to have a can of tye exact same color, and painted over the word BEFORE the police had even arrived.
