Going to San Diego in a couple of weeks. Besides Modern Times are there a few other GREAT ones? I know there are a ton out there, just not which are better than others. Thanks for any recommendations.

Stone Liberty Station is a cool spot. All the Stone beers on tap plus a few dozen others, Pliny was on tap when I was there a few years ago.. Nice outdoor gardens, patio, bocce court.

I'm headed in the Spring and I have a list already

- Modern Times
- Mission Brewery
- Mikkeller Brewery
- California Wild Ales
- Stone Brewing
- Alesmith Brewery
- Council Brewery
- Green Flash
- Ocean Beach
- Societe Brewing
- Iron Fist
- Groundswell Tasting Room
- Ballast Point
- Pure Project
- Coronado Brewing
- Knotty Brewing
- Duck Foot Brewing
- Mike Hess Brewing
- Belching Beaver

I'm sure they will have 5-10 new breweries open by the time I arrive though

there are a bunch of good ones, including green flash, ale smith, mikkeller, and more, all clustered in mira mesa. you could spend the whole day in that area and still not hit all the breweries and tap rooms there.

stone is a go-to, but is a bit further afield in north county (in escondido). unless there is one in town now? but just google map the area around mcas miramar (yes, top gun miramar) and you'll see a ton of breweries.

Hell of a list yall. Thanks
Mira mesa looks like it will get a lot of our time and money.

GOnna hit up the zoo and mission brewing since it is right there. We are staying at the Hilton bayfront so we'll probably need to Lyft to mira mesa...how far a drive is that?

Thanks again. We roll out thursday

I won't repeat the staples already mentioned, but there is a great one downtown right by Petco Park called Half Door Brewing Co. I was staying downtown so it was a great spot to hit before a baseball game. Excellent IPA's.

Little Italy is an awesome little area with some great tasting rooms. Mikkeller, Stone, Ballast Point, and Karl Strauss are all within walking distance of each other. Great restaurants there as well.

North Park is another cool area with a ton of breweries. It is another area where you could Uber there and walk to a bunch of breweries including Modern Times.
