Trailer link

I'm kind of excited about this one. It's about the rise of Al-Qaeda in the 1990s and the constant in-fighting between the FBI and CIA in the lead up to 9/11. It stars Jeff Daniels as the ill-fated John O'Neill, who led the FBI's counter-terrorism task force during that period. Due to the constant in-fighting and struggle to get any cooperation from the CIA, he resigned and took a job as head of security at the World Trade Center. He was one of the many thousands who lost their lives that day.

The miniseries drops on February 28.

I’ve watched all the episodes they have available (the first three). I’m really digging it so far.

I just started watching and can't wait to see it from the CIA and FBI side leading into 9/11. I saw path to paradise in 1997 about the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and saw how they put the plan in motion. John O'Neil was a gangsta and hated that he was one of the casualties on 9/11. I thought it was strange he was killed on the first day on the job. It feels like they had it planned for him knowing he didn't get along with the CIA and George bush wouldn't let him pursue osama anymore with the bush and bin Ladin family history with oil.

Correction. Robert O’Neill got Bin Laden.

Not that beta cuck who had to be convinced by Hillary Clinton of all people to sign off on the assault.

I honestly enjoy it. I did have the urge to watch more. But now it forces you to think about the episodes you’ve watched instead of rushing through them.

The book was great. Should be mandatory reading in history classes.

Surprises there’s not a bigger thread on this. Series is outstanding. A++. Caught 9 episodes over the weekend. Final episode is released on Wednesday.

I like the episodes but for it to be once a week it was kind of slow as oppose to bingewatching on Netflix. With this last episode I get to see the FBI reaction of the attack and Get to see their side of it. The real Ali Soufan helped a lot with the episodes to make it realistic as possible.

I just started this and its fantastic. I wonder how accurate the infighting between the FBI and CIA actually is?

I really like Jeff Daniels in this, but does he ever play a character other than someone in government intelligence
