NASCAR season thread anchored (MSB)

Why? It's one thread for an entire season of news, race chat, fantasy discussion, etc. Over the years we made a new thread for each race and breaking news - I started the season thread to try to reduce the clutter and troll posts, plus the OP has current season info.

Because it is has turned into a fantasy discussion and very little about each race. There is little participation from anyone other than the fantasy group which can be done on the fantasy board.

A new thread for each race and a new thread for each time news comes which gets cluttered with troll posts instead of just keeping it all in one post? Wants us to start making 5 threads on the Fantasy Board asking about which driver to pick each race? That just makes no sense to me. The last few races haven't had much posting because the races were rain delayed to Monday - nobody got to watch because of work.
One master thread for the entire season about an entire sport seems more efficient, just like the hockey season threads.

A new thread for each race has always worked in the past and had much more discussion about each race.

Whatever - I thought I'd do y'all a favor and make 1 thread for the season. I saw 0 logic in anchoring it since broke 0 of this forums rules. Again - it went slow lately mainly because the races were being held on Monday afternoons. Enjoy having a thread made for each race that has an OP of 'yay racin' instead of current standings/race schedule/other info. 64 pages in 8 races seems like plenty of discussion to me.
I better start seeing other threads like it being anchored as well.

I'll let the hockey guys know they can start making threads for each playoff series instead of one mega thread for the whole playoffs. You know, generate more discussion.

Neither was the NASCAR thread, and if you think that's going to stop people from posting about which drivers they picked for the race in a weekly thread you're out of your mind. That shite happened for YEARS in the weekly threads.

Seems like a better idea would be two threads: One on the MSB for NASCAR discussion sans fantasy discussion and one on the Fantasy Board for fantasy discussion.

Rules for this weren't given to us about this. It's more preferences of an admin without warning.
Reason I'm a tad salty about it is because I did a pretty good job of keeping the OP and title updated - just wasn't a general b.s. post. I'll drop it though. Just tried to do the board a favor and cut down on clutter.

In years past we had a weekly thread that was about the race. Sure there was some fantasy y’all but it didn’t dominate the thread.

WE did have mid-week talk about breaking news about penalties and general chit chat. Are we allowed to create posts about that or do we have to wait until a thread is made halfway through the race?
