Going to my first game at Minute Maid on May 19th

My fiance and I are going to our first game ever at Minute Maid on May 19th. What's the best way to get two tickets in a good location? Should I wait until we go or buy them beforehand online? I almost bought tickets in the Party Deck but it seems to have bad reviews. What are y'all thoughts?

I’d say post in the DAT thread but those guys are pretty cranky lately

Yeah, I probably should have waited to post this after the game.

"Hello, I would like 2 tickets in a good location."

That’s vs. Indians. Shouldn’t be too hard to get tickets. Crawford boxes are fun. Otherwise, stay 3rd base side to avoid looking into the sun. If you are just going to one game - worth the extra $ to get good seats. Craigslist - or, if you feel lucky - show up and buy from scalper right before game. Corporate types that work downtown unload decent tickets they can’t use.

Party Deck
Sells alcohol the entire game.

Surf all of the aftermarket sites , stubhub etc, as well as MLB official single game ticket sales. Crawford boxes are fun, right field low right by the foul pole is good. Of course above dugout is nice on both sides. Have a good time!

Get the cheapest tickets you can find and just walk around and see the sights. If you get tired go to one of the restaurants and sit for a spell.

I find those seats to be boring I’d sit behind 1st or 3rd.

Don't know what Astro tickets cost but usually....Stubhub has some cheap tickets (Cheaper for weekday games).

I would love this. How much would be reasonable to pay for the Crawford boxes?

Is this the time to put in tree fiddy?

Lowest I've seen couple times I've looked is $68. Often times, prices are up around $90-120 but just keep checking daily on the sites. I would grab anything under $75 honestly. It depends who they are playing that day too. I'm not pulling up the schedule.

With that being an afternoon game, you will want to avoid the 1st base side. There are certain sections that will be blasted with sunlight for a few innings. Anything 3rd base side is much more enjoyable in that regard.
Have a good time, it's a great looking facility. I'll be there on the 20th.
