I hope I don't get bashed for this, because I'm truly curious. It seems AW would be a good get now that we've lost out on Goodrich.

Do we have any other "backup" plans?

Not trying to turn this into a bash O thread, I'm just curious if they thought they had Goodrich, or possibly someone else, and backed off Washington because of that.

They backed off for the chance at Goodrich. I don't blame ArDarius for still leaving for TCU, even if LSU called him this morning to re-offer.

Thanks for the responses. I thought that may be the case, but was unsure.

This is how a 2nd signing day can kill you.

Washington is a safety. He doesn’t help our depth at corner.

Washington is a safety, Goodrich CB/WR. Joseph took Washington's spot, why he remained committed till yesterday I'm not sure, but nobody was counting him as part of the class.

BTW, I think it's shitty a good player like Washington would be considered a backup plan, but that's just how I worded it because I know that's how some of them are viewed.

LSU getting taking advantage of

Coaching staff goes all in on a player because of good vibes. Players spurns them and chooses another school. Meanwhile all those other eggs LSU threw out of the basket have committed elsewhere. Now LSU is looking like fools

Oh, ok. Thank you bwall and thunder. I had no clue he was viewed as a safety.

That's why I asked.

I usually love following recruiting, but this past year and a half I just haven't been as interested in it...

Probably, but that's what happens when kids lie, change their mind, or mislead you.

And these kids did that. We had no choice..we can't offer Washington if the others are coming...then all these bashers would be screaming that O sucks because he over offered and lied to a kid.

shite happens. LSU will be fine
