Athens is fine. It’s just not nearly as cool as any number of islands.

OP, you can get what you want done in 2 full days if you need to do it that quickly.

I'd say 2-3 days max. After the Parthenon and a few museums, its just I wouldn't know what else to do.
Monastiraki square is cool though. Lots of cool shops and restaurants.
