did we save this year as a planned red shirt or was he simply not good enough to get into the field?

I watched him play as a senior in high school and he was nothing short of electric and exciting to watch. Hopefully he is part of the starting corps of receivers next year.

If they thought he was good enough/ready to contribute, they wouldn’t have redshirted him. 5 year guys are rare these days, especially if they have an NFL future.

I’m from crosby and have watch this young man since a child. His father coach’s my son. It was a kind of planned red shirt. Him playing qb his senior season kinda put him behind the 8ball a lil bit. Was not as polished as should have been. Enrolling help him a bit learning the new offense. He signed with the old regime. So when the new guys came in and he didn’t back off the redshirt option was given so he could learn

I don't think he would have played even if he was ready. Our WRs lacked experience not talent. We are stacked with talent at wr. No dig on neatherly, but he'll have to ball out or wait his turn.

Ok here’s the update for those who care. Had dinner with the Netherlys last night right before mannie left back for BR. He didn’t not get in any trouble. Was back with time last night as of 1030.

His little brother will be a big boy from my understanding.
His grandfather is a big guy. Saw him a couple times. Nice man.

Damn it's amazing how quickly rumors and lies are spread on here and social media platforms because people are itching for the spotlight.

houlsu seems to have just debunked 2 in the last 4 posts.

Yes it is kinda crazy. I’ve know the Netherly family for a very long time, in fact my wife and SiL went to school with his dad and uncle. Great family. His dad will be my boys coach next year.
Mannie is a very outstanding young man and has worked very hard to be where he is. He respects and appreciates everything opportunity that is given to him

it is a younger cousin then. His grandfather said this kid wears a size 12 in the 6th grade. Big boy.
This is his grandfather KC.
