I want to give all the credit in the world to The Force Awakens

After attack of the clones 90% of the fans left Star Wars forever. My father refused to watch another Star Wars movie ever again, even the OT. The franchise was dead to anyone who wasn’t a hardcore follower.
It’s amazing the job TFA did to re-integrate the fans back into the fold. It restored faith that Lucas wouldn’t get his FILTHY claws on it ever again. It introduced the most amazing and talented actress in the world in Daisey Ridley, and brought Adam Driver into the spotlight that he deserves. Most of all it brought back hope to the fans that the series could actually have a hero worth following again. The first time I saw TFA was one of the most hopeful moments in my life.
It will always and forever be my favorite Star Wars movie.

I recently watched it for the first time. I thought it was good, not great. I am supposed to see the new one after Christmas. It did not feel very fluid for as long as it was and for as long as it was, it felt rushed. It also paralleled A New Hope too much to under deliver on the overall star wars magic like it did. Finn's part felt a little over acted or he was at least written a little too pushy. Renn was too dopey for me, at least casting wise. Everyone seemed better with a light saber than they should have been if we were to lean on the learning curve portrayed in the prior movies. If storm troopers can just pick them up and fight like jedis they have been doing it wrong for a long time. Someone can probably clarify for me, are storm troopers still clones?
Those are my nitpicks, like I said, it was good. They were large enough though that they took away from the movie while I was watching it. I will probably watch it again soon.

I would absolutely love to see the data behind this statistic.

This is dumb. I stopped reading here....and I hated AOTC.

I like TFA but they totally missed on Finn. He should’ve been a grizzled soldier who’s grown sick of war and the First Order’s brutal methods. Instead we got the janitor with no game and who runs away every chance he gets.

You forgot the worst thing about him
