I have all of my dad's old school head music. He has some really nice metal albums in there as well. I've seen some Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dio, Pink Floyd, The Doors and some Zeppelin. That's just to name a few, there is around 200 albums. He threw 4 Large boxes of 8 tracks away months ago and didn't say a word. I wanted to cry. He had a badass 8 track collection but he said they just take up space and didn't think to ask anyone if they wanted them. What an a-hole!

How much are you looking to spend? Give Marco something to work with.

$2-300 range is your best bet. You get what you pay for!

I'd say under $500.

Most are going to recommend the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon in that range. That's what I ended up getting and haven't been disappointed. I can only assume you have a pre-amp for the system.

Yup... if not, you’ll need a pre amp as well and will need to know if that affects your budget on your table.

Lol ok... what's a good one in the $100-$200. Not looking to impress, just looking for a good sound

Okay, so what’s your total budget for both?

Also, prolly wouldn’t hurt to put this in the audiophile thread. Probably a better chance of Marco chiming in. He is the resident expert on this rabbit hole.
